Your child’s safety is our main concern.

Please remember that if there must be a choice, safety always takes precedence over convenience.

• Children may begin arriving to school as early as 8:15 a.m. Only children registered for ASP may be on campus before 8:15 in the morning. Students entering classrooms after 8:45 are tardy. Students arriving after 8:45 must sign in at the main office. 

• All visitors must sign in at the main office before entering the campus. Please wear the visitor badge you are given as long as you are on campus.

• Children should not be checked out during the last hour of the school day unless it is an emergency. Students work all the way until the end of the day, so if they leave early they fall behind in their assignments and activities.

• In case of inclement weather where lighting has been sighted, the official Orange County Public Schools Policy regarding the Delayed Dismissal will be implemented. This means all students will be kept for 30 minutes after the last time thunder is heard.  All buses must also remain at school for this time frame.  Children can be picked up by their parents if they sign them out in the front office. However, this is not recommended due to safety concerns and the high volume of cars in the pick-up circle.  This is only for the safety of your child.

• Dismissal time for all students is at 3:00 pm each day except on Wednesday when dismissal time is 2:00 pm.

• After school care is available only for children in Dramatic Ed.

• Please make sure that we have your most current phone number on file. This will help in case we have to do an Connect Ed telephone call/a message on TalkingPoints to notify you of any changes.

Riverside has been warded the Five Star School Designation by the Florida Department of Education for the past nine years as we value community engagement.  We have also received the Golden School Award for the past ten years being recognized for our outstanding volunteer service hours. We take proud in our accomplishments. 

Dramatic Education is excited to be our school's before and after-school provider for the 2024-2025 school year. Dramatic Education is an educational arts company with over twenty years of academic arts programming. They provide a safe, nurturing, enriching, and educational environment for students daily. Students will stretch their creative muscles and strengthen their developmental skills. The program is available on days school is in session, Monday-Friday.

Afternoon: Dismissal - 6:00 p.m.

Mornings Only - $32.88/week
Afternoons Only - $50.88/week

Riverside hosts monthly parent invovlement activities to include BAck to School Night, Multicultural Events, Fall Festival, Title I Spagetti Dinner, curriculum nights, Conference Nights, Parent Support classes, Book Fairs, Talent Show and awards celebrations to name a few.  Parents and community are always welcome! 

Riverside has a variety of programs to meet the diverse needs of our students.  We integrate up to date technology to support the high curriculum standards established by the Department of Education . All students have the opportunity to partiicpate in physical education, music and art each week.  We have an extensive selection of books in our Media Center and all students participate in the Accelerated Reader Program.  Advanced students are challenged in the classroom as well as through our Gifted Program. Clubs include Earth Savers, Performing Arts, Patrols, Student Ambassadors, 100 Point Reading Club and Student Council.  Extended Day is offered before and after school to accommadate our families.  Breakfast is provided free to all students daily.  Our mission is to educate the "whole child".

Riverside is a community school built in 1968.  Many of our parents also attended Riverside.  We enjoy an active PTA, SAC and PLC throughout the school year.  Our outstanding staff takes "Pride in Riverside" and strives to make it a great place to work and learn. Our motto is Riverside "Where All Roadrunners Succeed
