Back to School Year Info

We are ready and excited to see our students returning face-to-face!

For everyone's health and safety, please remember that no visitors or parents are permitted to go past the front office.

Friday, August 21 only, you may choose to get out and take a picture with or of your child against their grade level's backdrop which will be found on the outside of the school. All other days, please remain in your vehicle and only drop students in the car loading/drop-off zone.

Temperature Checks

All students and staff will have their temperature checked upon arrival each day. Individuals with a temperature of 100.4 or higher are not permitted on campus. All students not riding a bus or daycare van to school will enter the school through the side door of the cafeteria. All students will have their temperature checked before entering the building. Students with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be permitted to exit their vehicle. If a student walks, rides their bike, or rides the bus to school and arrives with a temperature of 100.4 or higher he or she will be taken to our sick clinic and their parent/guardian will be called for an immediate pickup.

Students must have masks on before entering the building. We will have disposable masks at the door to give out to students and then once in class, they will be given two reusable, washable cloth masks. Should your child want to wear a face-covering that you will provide, please read this information from the district’s policy:

  1. Cloth Face Coverings: Cloth face coverings are acceptable for compliance with this policy provided that the face-covering covers both the nose and mouth, fits snugly against the sides of the face with little to no gaps, and is made of a solid material. In addition to face masks, neck gaiters and neck buffs are permitted, provided they consist of multiple layers of fabric. Face coverings may not be made of lace, mesh, or other largely porous material.

Just a reminder, students may begin arriving on campus no earlier than 8:15 a.m. There is no adult supervision before this time. For everyone's safety students should remain socially distant at all times. Doors will open and breakfast service will begin at 8:15 a.m. The tardy bell rings at 8:45 a.m. Please make sure your child is on time!

For everyone's safety, when driving on campus always follow the traffic pattern and the directions of our school resource officer and staff. Please do not get out of your car for any reason. Do not move any cones or barriers. Please take the time to drive around the loop. Students should only be dropped off in the car loading/drop-off zone.

Pre-K Arrival

Pre-K arrival is from 8:30 - 8:45 a.m. Adults dropping off and picking up pre-k students will use our new QR code touchless system. All you need is a smartphone capable of scanning a QR code. You will answer 3 quick questions, click submit, and be on your way!

Dismissal is at 3:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays; and at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. Students are expected to be picked up on time. If you have not already done so through your child's teacher, please click HERE to fill out our dismissal survey. This will help us safely prepare for dismissal during face-to-face instruction.

Devices and Materials

Students participating in face-to-face learning are to bring their device with them to and from school each day. If at all possible, purchase a laptop-safe backpack. Over the first 3 days, please bring back all textbooks given when your child picked up their device. They will need them for the classroom.

Supplies from the Supply List

Teachers will send out messages through Class Dojo about which supplies to bring in each day. Students should not try to bring in all of their supplies in one day. We will not be permitting the drop off of school supplies in the front office.

Bring a Water Bottle

Water fountains will be available for student use and will be sanitized throughout the day, but sending your child with their own water bottle is strongly recommended.

Before and Afterschool Care

Dramatic Education is available for before and afterschool care. Get information on how to sign up here.

All families returning to face-to-face learning are encouraged to read the district's Health and Safety Manual.
